RAPID CITY - Gov. Mike Rounds is the speaker at this year's annual Joint Servce Club Luncheon and pre-legislative crackerbarrel session, the Rapid City Area Chamber of Commerce announced.
The event is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 11, at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
It begins with pre-legislative crackerbarrel at 10 a.m. Area lawmakers, chamber officials and area business people will talk about the upcoming session.
The crackerbarrel, which is free and open to the public, offers the public a first look at the issues that are expected to arise in the 2007 Legislature.
The luncheon, attended by members of area service clubs and the public, is $20 for members of the clubs and the chamber. The cost is $25 for nonmembers. Reservations are required, and the registration deadline is noon Thursday.
The luncheon begins at 11:55 a.m., and Rounds is expected to begin his address at 12:10 p.m.
