A state energy official will present the findings of a recent study on wind energy in South Dakota on Tuesday at a forum at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology.
Mike Trykoski, chairman of the board of the South Dakota Energy Infrastructure Authority, will talk about "Issues Affecting Wind Power Development in South Dakota" at the lunch forum at the Surbeck Center Ballroom.
Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m., and Trykoski is scheduled to speak at noon.
Cost is $7.50, which includes lunch. People who plan to attend should register in advance, even if they don't plan to eat lunch, because seating is limited, according to a news release from the School of Mines.
To register, call 394-2256.
The South Dakota Energy Infrastructure Authority recently published the South Dakota Wind Power Report, which explores issues affecting wind power development in the state.
The report is intended primarily as a resource document for the Legislature and the public.
The report can be found on the energy authority's Web site www.sdeia.com under "Reports."
