Next weekend should be a great one for beer fans. Rapid City's Main Street Square will host its second annual Bierborse on Saturday, and Deadwood's Oktoberfest celebration is planned for Friday and Saturday.

If all the beer festivities put you in the mood to try brewing your own, you're in luck. Veteran homebrewer Les Heard has just opened Black Hills Homebrew Supply in Black Hawk.

He'll carry brewing supplies for beginners as well as ingredients that will appeal to longtime brewmasters. He also plans to offer a "brewing hotline" to answer any questions you might have mid-batch.

Look for more details in Sunday's Talking Business column.

The Brew Hotline is for any home brew question. It is a dedicated number. If somebody calls I will be forced to talk about brewing. I predict I will enjoy the call. 605-787-2210

Ooops, I knew that too - not sure how I managed an "n" instead of a "d," though, they aren't even next to each other on the keyboard! Thanks for the e-mail.

Hey Heidi, just wanted to let you know that Les's last name is Heard, not Hearn. Thanks.
