The Highway 473 relocation in Lead, designed by FMG Engineering, was named Project of the Year by the Black Hills Chapter of the South Dakota Engineering Society. According to a news release, the project involved the relocation of about one mile of the state highway leading to the Terry Peak Ski Area as part of an expansion of Goldcorp’s Wharf Mine.
