Dr. Alvis Lisenbee, Professor Emeritus at SD School of Mines & Technology, brings us this week's Turtle Soup topic: Horatio Darton, known in this area for mapping and photographing Black Hills geologic features.. Find out more about the man who decided to take up geology as a hobby and became one of the primary figures of science in the 20th century!

Feed your mind and your belly! Every Turtle Soup features a presentation on historic figures who influenced Black Hills history and includes soup from Angel’s Catering. Turtle Soups are included in a regular admission to the museum or are 1/2 off for members.

Typical schedule:
12 pm - 12:15 pm - Lunch is served
12:15 pm - 12:45 pm Presentation
12:45 pm - 12:55 pm Q & A

Why make Turtle Soup reservations?
* It helps our staff determing the amount of soup to order from Angel's Catering so that all paid reservations are guaranteed a bowl.
* We can always guarantee you can see a Turtle Soup Lecture...even if you walk-up at Noon. What makes us nervous is running out of soup!
