The Deadwood Lead Economic Development Corporation Board recently selected Kevin Wagner of Whitewood as its new executive director. Wagner begins his new position today.
“I’m excited to receive this opportunity to stay in South Dakota, my home,” Wagner said. “I’m looking forward to helping the DLEDC realize its goals and appreciate the chance to be part of an economic and community development team that is making a difference.”
Wagner takes over for Lori Fredrick, who has taken a new role with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
Wagner is a graduate of the Beacom School of Business at the University of South Dakota. He worked with the Sioux Falls Development Foundation and the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
“The Board is looking forward to working with Kevin in our economic development efforts,” said Constance Walter, president of the DLEDC. “Kevin brings a great deal of passion and enthusiasm to the position and is committed to helping us achieve our goals.”
