It's a night your taste buds aren't going to want to miss.
Sturgis and Meade County Historical Society will host the third annual Taste of Sturgis fundraiser Friday, Jan. 26.
The event will be from 5:30-8 p.m. at Boulder Canyon Station Convention Center, which is adjacent to the Sturgis Holiday Inn Express.
Taste of Sturgis features area restaurants showcasing their favorite food in the categories of appetizer, main dish or dessert. A people's choice award in each of those divisions will be presented to the restaurant with the most popular item based on votes cast by those in attendance. Participating restaurants include Elk Creek Steakhouse, Jambonz Grill & Pub, Loud American Roadhouse, Sidehack Saloon, The Knuckle Saloon, and Weimer’s Diner & Donuts.
Historical Society President Mark Rambow said that the proceeds from the fundraiser enable the nonprofit organization to carry out its mission of preserving, protecting and promoting Sturgis and Meade County history.
“Money raised will also help us to acquire and catalog artifacts and to continue planning for this summer’s celebration of the 140th birthday of Sturgis,” he said.
Admission is $5 for those 8 years and under, and $10 for all others.
