WALL | The inaugural Wheelin' to Wall annual bicycle ride through the Badlands National Park takes place Saturday, Sept. 30.

Wheelin’ to Wall will offer four cycling rides: a 100-mile ride, a 38-mile ride, a 25-mile ride and a 10-mile ride, said Charon Geigle, event organizer.

The Wheelin’ to Wall ride through the Badlands of South Dakota grew from a community collaboration project, “Marketing Hometown America” that Wall completed in March.

“This community collaboration brought forth many ideas from residents of Wall to connect with each other and the landscape where they live. Wheelin’ to Wall, biking through the Badlands National Park, is one such idea to facilitate this connection,” said Cheyenne McGriff, executive director of the Wall Economic Development Corporation.

The walk-ability and bike-ability of the Wall community was a top theme among participants of the Marketing Hometown America project.

Everybody Walks! SD @Wall was another new event that is brought residents together around walk-ability.
