The Performing Arts Center of Rapid City's second annual Family Series kicks off this week with "My Father's Dragon." 

This play brings to life Ruth Stiles Gannett's beloved stories about talking animals, flying dragons and the clever boy named Elmer Elevator who rescues a captive baby dragon. 

"My Father's Dragon," presented by Enchantment Theatre Co., features more than 30 puppets for the performance.

The play is at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $8 per person or $30 for a family of four.
