Miner Brewing Company is hosting its first music festival on Aug. 26. The daylong event will take place from noon to 10 p.m. on the Miner Brewing Concert Lawn. Bands scheduled to perform include Lake Toba, The Nesters, Burlap Wolf King, and the headliner, The Two Tracks. The brewery is also releasing a new beer this month, the Kombucha Cider. It is made with South Dakota crab apples and features tangy and floral scents. The persistent sweetness is reminiscent of a Honey Crisp and is met with a light tanginess.

Lost Cabin to release new IPA, Spruce Tip Ale
Lost Cabin Beer Co. is releasing three new beers this month. The Ultimate Warrior NE IPA (5 percent ABV) will be released at the brewery's Ales for A.L.S. event on Thursday. Working in collaboration with the Rushmore German Club, Lost Cabin will offer a Hefeweizen at the German Tent during the Central States Fair on Aug. 18. The brewery also plans to release a Spruce Tip Ale this month.

Firehouse launching German-style beer
Firehouse Brewing Co. will be launching a new beer for the Sommerfest German Tent at the Central States Fair (Aug. 18 to 26). The Zeltfest (5.1 percent ABV) is a traditional German festival beer that uses Munich barley.
Dueling Pianos to play during rally
In addition to its lineup of staple beers, the Knuckle Brewing Company will feature music by the Dueling Pianos Road Show throughout the rally. The high-energy group will play every night from 8 p.m. to midnight through Aug. 12.
Expanded hours at Dakota Shivers for rally week
Dakota Shivers is brewing a new beer called the Batch 100 Centennial SMaSH; no word on when it will be available. The brewery will have expanded hours through the rally, and will be open from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. every day through Saturday.

Hay Camp to host Art Night, Beer Choir
Hay Camp will be hosting several events this month, staring with Art Night on Friday, which will include refreshments and hors d'oeuvre. At the Beer Choir on Aug. 18, beer hymnals will be handed out and a choir director will lead songs. A Beers and Bots event will take place on Aug. 30, showcasing 3-D printing technology and a makerspace with the downtown library.
Hay Camp is also releasing an American Sour Ale called Dino.sour.
