Rapid City's oldest brewery is having a celebration this month to mark its 25th anniversary. On Jan. 13 and 14, Firehouse Brewing Co. will offer their Firehouse Red at its original price ($2.75), a meal special for $19.91 (in honor of the year it opened) and a gift card offer that earns purchasers an extra $10. There will also be live music from 3 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on both days.
Hay Camp to open new location in February
Hay Camp Brewing Company has closed its tavern on Main Street while the owners gear up for the launch of their new location at at 601 Kansas City St. Co-owner Sam Papendick said there have only been a few setbacks during construction at the new building, which used to be an auto dealership. The new location will open in February but an exact date has not been set.
Even thought it's closed for the month of January, Hay Camp will be selling beer at the Black Hills Stock Show from Jan. 27 to Feb. 5. The brewery will also be doing a collaboration beer with Pure Bean Coffeehouse for the opening of their new location at Catron Boulevard and Sheridan Lake Road on Jan. 7. Lost Cabin Beer Company will also participate in the event.
Small batch brews available at Miner
Miner Brewing Company is now offering a few specialty beers that Brewmaster Sandi made in small batches
• Pay Dirt is an Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels that features notes of bourbon and wood, followed by chocolate, a hint of coconut, and blackberry truffle. Pay Dirt is only available by the pint.
• And Everything Nice is Sandi’s second Pale Ale, showcasing notes of fresh ginger and spicy cinnamon.
Miner spokeswoman Jenna Fischer said the brewery will be releasing two new beers this month: a Schwarzbier and a Belgian Tripel.

Crowcoanut Porter on tap at Crow Peak
Crow Peak recently tapped their popular chocolate-coconut imperial porter, the Crowcoanut Porter. Also, the 605 Harvest Pale Ale brewed with South Dakota-grown hops is now available in cans and on draft.
The Sheridan, Wyo., band Two Tracks will perform on Jan. 20 at the brewery.
