'Eternity' play

First Assembly of God Church, 4905 S. Highway 16, will present the dramatic play "Eternity" at 7 p.m. today through Wednesday, March 22-26. Easter services

Black Hawk Community Church, 5118 Mill Road, will hold its Resurrection celebration with Easter Sunrise services at 7 a.m. Sunday, March 23, followed by breakfast. All are welcome.

Rehoboth concert

The 55-voice Rehoboth Christian High School Choir from Rehoboth, N.M., will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at Bethel Assembly of God Church, 1202 North Maple St., in Rapid City. Beginning as an outreach by the Christian Reformed Church to the Navajo nation, Rehoboth's student body now includes 57 percent Native Americans, 32 percent Anglos and 11 percent other ethnicities such as Hispanics, Ethiopians and Europeans. The diversity of the students is reflected in their songs, dress, dance and cultural motifs as they share a time of worship entitled "Come to the Water."

Resurrection service

Hills View Evangelical Free, a new church in the Piedmont Valley, will hold a Resurrection celebration at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 23, in the Stagestop Reception Hall, behind the Ramada Inn at Exit 48 off Interstate 90. All are welcome. For more information, call 787-4451.

Feast of Annunciation

St. John Orthodox Christian Church, Rapid City, will celebrate the Feast of the Annunciation at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, with Divine Liturgy. The Annunciation is one of the major feasts of the Orthodox Church and is observed around the world. St. John is at 601 Flormann St.

Ladies luncheon

The Tuesday Ladies Luncheon will meet at Trinity Lutheran Church, 402 Kansas City St., at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 25. Guest speaker will be Dorothy Thompson. Cost of the luncheon is $3 or bring a salad to share.

Easter carnival

Peace Lutheran Church, 219 E. St. Anne St. in Rapid City, will hold an Easter carnival and egg hunt from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. today. The hunt begins at 1:15 p.m. for children ages 3-11. There will be free balloons and games.

On Easter Sunday, sunrise service will be at 6:30 a.m., Easter breakfast will be at 7:45 a.m. and worship services will be at 9:30 a.m.

Sheltered Reality

Sheltered Reality, featuring 100 drummers, will perform at the Mount Rushmore Easter sunrise service. The 63rd annual service is at 7 a.m. Sunday, March 23, and is free and open to the public with no fee for parking. An offering will be taken to benefit Sheltered Reality homeless projects and Fisher House, a program that provides temporary living quarters for families visiting loved ones being treated in major military or VA medical centers.

Attendees should dress warmly. Transportation from the parking lot to the event will be offered to those needing assistance.

Easter Drive Thru

Open Bible Christian Center will host its 9th Annual Easter Drive Thru for the community on today. Families are invited to drive through the parking lot of the church, 2225 E. St. Patrick St., anytime between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

There will be special entertainment and guests to guide participants through the lines. Each child will receive an Easter treat bag and each adult will receive a special gift.

The event is free.

Sunrise service

Piedmont Valley Lutheran Church, 16155 Spring Valley Road in Piedmont, will hold a sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, March 23, followed by an Easter breakfast at 7:30 a.m. At 9 a.m., a festive Easter worship with Holy Communion will be celebrated.

Community service

The Spearfish United Methodist Church will host a community-wide 7 a.m. praise worship service on Sunday, March 23, at the church, Fifth and Kansas streets in Spearfish.

The Blue Jeans Band will lead the festive worship of light and song. Michelle Jennings, guitar/mandolin/vocals, is the band leader and members are Boyd Bristow, Peony Hammerquist and Chris Davis, guitar/vocals, Don Miller, Joann Hoffman and Lauren Hill, vocals.

There will be an Easter brunch from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the church's fellowship hall. A freewill donation will be received.
