Catholic Daughters

The Catholic Daughters will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, May 12, at St. Therese Church in Rapid City. Election of officers and the convention will be discussed.

Aglow speakers

Merlyn and DeAnn Hilmoe, members of New Life Asssembly of God in Pierre, will talk about their mission trip to Brazil at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at Bethel Assembly. The event is presented by Aglow International. All are welcome.

Summer services

The Rev. John Tesnow of Sturgis Christian Church will lead services at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 11, at Rochford Chapel. Fellowship will follow the service.

Procession

There will be an Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima Procession after the 8 a.m. Mass on Saturday, May 17. The procession will begin at Our Lady's Chapel, Cathedral, and end at Immaculate Conception Chapel, corner of Fifth and South streets. Rummage sale

Trinity Lutheran Church, 402 Kansas City St., will hold its annual rummage sale beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 17. Proceeds go toward a free vacation Bible school/summer day camp for community children. Thrivent Financial provides matching funds. For more information, call 342-9302.

Coffee house

Valley Community Church, 5718 Longview Road in Rapid Valley, will host a coffeehouse at 7 p.m. Monday, May 12. "Survivor Stories," about Holocaust survivors, will be shown. The public is welcome.

Rummage sale

St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 910 Soo San Drive, will hold a multi-family rummage sale, bake sale and noon luncheon beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 10. The public is invited. For more information, call 343-4210.

Singles conference

Providence Reformed Baptist Church will hold an Older Peoples Christian Singles Conference May 22-25. Single people between the ages of 30 and 109 are invited to a weekend of teaching, fellowship and activities. Keynote speaker is the Rev. John Ruether, pastor of Covenant Baptist Church in Lumberton, N.J., who will present "How to Walk with Christ, Our Best Companion."There will be several tours to Black Hills attractions. Saturday Night Alive

Saturday Night Alive is holding two Truth Project Series events May 9-10 at Christian Life Ministries, 1948 N. Plaza Drive. At 7 p.m. Friday, "Am I Significant?" will focus on where people get their significance. At 7 p.m. Saturday, "America's Failed Experiment" will discuss the country's laws.

5K fun run/walk

South Canyon Lutheran Church, 700 44th St., will hold a 5K fun run/walk on Sunday, May 18. Registration is at 11 a.m., with the run starting at noon. The cost is $15 and includes a T-shirt. A picnic-style lunch with hot dogs and hamburgers will be available at 11:30 a.m. for a donation. Proceeds will help youths go to Minneapolis for a mission trip.
