Evangelist to speak
Eldon W. Stevens, who leads Evangelistic Revival Bible Crusades, will be guest speaker at special services Oct. 19-24 at Rapid Valley Faith Baptist Church, 1786 N. Neel St.
Stevens will speak at the 9:45 a.m. and the 11 a.m. services on Sunday, and at 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Fall fundraiser
Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 910 Wood Ave., will host its second annual fall fundraiser with a chili and cornbread supper at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. Chili dogs, hot dogs, cookies and bars will also be available. Cost is $5 a person and $1 for children 5 and younger. All are welcome.
Public meeting
Christian Radio station KWRC 90.9 will hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at the Flying J truck stop in Hermosa.
This is a general meeting to discuss public issues, any questions about KWRC and any concerns in the Hermosa area.
The public is welcome to attend. Look for the KWRC sign on one of the back booths in the store area.
Women's conference
"Nevertheless," a young women's conference, will be Friday and Saturday, Nov. 7-8, at Crossroads Wesleyan Church, 1823 Sheridan Lake Road. The Friday session will begin at 7 p.m., and Saturday sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

OktoberZest MusicFest
Piedmont Valley Lutheran Church, 16155 Spring Valley Road in Piedmont, will hold its third annual OktoberZest MusicFest at 7 p.m. today, Oct. 18, at the church.
The Black Hills Gospel Quartet, The Hill City Slickers and historian and cowboy poet Otto Rosfeld will perform. CDs will be available for purchase, and there will be free refreshments.
An offering will be taken, with all proceeds going to the Black Hawk/Piedmont Valley Community Food Bank. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans wll provide matching funds.

Turkey supper
Faith Lutheran Church, 17 Indiana St. in Rapid City, will hold its annual turkey supper from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. The menu includes turkey and dressing, potatoes and gravy, vegetables, lefse and pumpkin dessert.
Tickets are $7 for adults, $4 for children ages 5-12 and free for children age 4 and younger. All are welcome.
Turkey supper, bazaar
Atonement Lutheran Church, 602 Auburn Drive, will hold its annual Turkey Supper, Bazaar and Bake Sale on Saturday, Nov. 1.
Supper, which includes lefse, will be served from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children and free for children younger than 5.
A theme basket silent auction, bazaar and bake sale will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Country store bazaar
The United Methodist Women will hold a country store bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, in the fellowship hall at First United Methodist Church, Seventh and Kansas City streets.
Baked goods, crafts, holiday items, pecans, napkins, greeting cards and knives will be sold. Coffee and rolls will be served in the morning, with lunch starting at 11 a.m. Proceeds will go to mission projects.
Fall seminar
West River Aglow International will hold "Displaying God's Glory," a fall seminar, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 7-8, at Golden Hills Resort in Lead.
Registration will be at 5 p.m. Friday and again at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Cost is $30 for all three sessions, $15 per session at the door and $17 for the Saturday banquet.

Fall dinner
St. James Episcopal Church, 306 Third Ave. in Edgemont will host a fall dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19. There will be roast beef with a salad and dessert bar. Cost is $7.50 for adults, $5 for children age 12 and younger, and a family rate of $25. The public is welcome.
Women's conference
"Free 2 B Me," a women's conference, will be held Saturday, Nov. 1, at Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn in Rapid City. The event is presented by A Heart for the Kingdom Ministry and will be led by Pam Johnson and Patty Rae Collins. Registration is at 8:30 a.m., with the conference beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m.

Saturday Night Alive
Saturday Night Alive Singles will gather for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at Golden Phoenix, 2421 W. Main St.
At 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, the group will hold its fall fling at Christian Life Ministries, 1948 N. Plaza Drive. Attendees will participate in a digital scavenger hunt.
Special speaker
Gerard Baker, superintendent at Mount Rushmore National Memorial, will be the special speaker on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 910 Soo San Drive.
The event begins with a dinner at 5:30 p.m., followed by a service at 6:10 p.m. and an education hour at 7 p.m.
The public is invited to attend any or all of the program. An offering will be taken for the dinner.
Doughnut fundraiser
St. Andrew's Episcopal Church is holding a cake doughnut fundraiser through Friday, Oct. 25.
Ray and Marg Bullinger, owners of the former Ray's Bakery, along with volunteers, will make cake doughnuts for $6 a dozen. Varieties available are plain, cinnamon sugar, chocolate tops, chocolate tops with sprinkles, maple tops with sprinkles or a variety pack.
Orders may be placed by calling the church office at 343-4210 Monday through Friday, or e-mailing no later than 3 p.m. Oct. 25 to standrew@rapidnet.com.
Pre-orders are necessary. Orders may be picked up from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the church parish hall, and church volunteers will deliver to those who need this service. People are also encouraged to bring their friends for a doughnut and coffee when picking up orders.
Gospel music concert
The Beverly Folkers family will present a gospel music concert at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at Harvest Time Free Will Baptist Church, 616 Box Elder Road in Box Elder. A donation will be taken. For more information, call Tim Coats at 348-8644.
