Fall Fiesta Celebration
First United Methodist Church in Rapid City will hold a Fall Fiesta Celebration on Sunday, Sept. 7. There will be three special worship services, which include the combined choir at 8 a.m. and at 11 a.m.; a contemporary worship will be at 9:30 a.m. Festivities will continue with music, games and food in the church parking lot at 5 p.m. For more information, call the church at 342-4498.
Enneagram worship
There will be an Enneagram Workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, and Saturday, Sept. 27, in Benedict Hall at St. Martin Monastery in Rapid City. The two-day workshop is an introductory course with lectures, tapes and discussion. The Enneagram is a study of the nine basic types of people, and explains why people behave the way they do and helps in understanding others, according to a news release.

Celebration Sunday
Hot Springs United Churches will begin its fall education programs at the 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Sept. 7, with a celebration of "Into the Promised Land," led by the Christian education team.
Regular classes for everyone, ages 4 through adult, will meet at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 14. The youth group will meet at 4 p.m. Sundays.
Westside Block Party
Crossroads Wesleyan Church, 1823 Sheridan Lake Road in Rapid City, will hold a Westside Block Party from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13. The free event will include games, food, a K-9 Unit demonstration, a sign-up for a neighborhood watch program, a blood drive and a visit from representatives of the Rapid City Rush hockey team. There will be drawings for prizes and other give-aways. The blood drive is from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

There will be a free lunch and entertainment for all area senior citizens at noon Thursday, Sept. 18, at Open Bible Christian Center, 2225 E. St. Patrick St. Those wising to attend should call 342-4496.
Ladies Salad Luncheon
The Tuesday Ladies Salad Luncheon will be Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 402 Kansas City St. Guest speaker is the Rev. Wilbur Holz. There will be music at 11:45 a.m., lunch at noon and the program at 12:30 p.m. The event is an intergenerational time of fellowship with music, devotions and program. Newcomers are welcome.

Saturday Night Alive
Beginning in September, Saturday Night Alive will have a monthly "Ing" thing theme. September's theme is "Refresh-ing." The group will meet at 7 p.m. today for a life study, "God's Refresh-ing Spirit," led by Lila, at Christian Life Ministries, 1948 N. Plaza Drive. Fall retreat
Members of Saturday Night Alive will hold their fall retreat Oct. 3-5 at Kamp Kinship south of Deadwood. The theme will be "Transformed From the Inside Out." Speakers are Dale Bartscher, Marci Maddux and Roy Roberts. Cost, which includes two nights' lodging, four meals and all sessions, is $89 if paid by Sept. 15 or $99 if paid after Sept. 15.

Saturday Night Alive will offer small group opportunities this fall. Revival at Rushmore
Revival at Rushmore, led by the Rev. Ward Astin and the Astin Family praise team, will be Friday through Sunday, Sept. 12-14, at Mount Rushmore National Monument. Fall revival
Foothills Community Baptist Church in Piedmont will host its fall revival Sunday through Wednesday, Sept. 14-17. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. each night with an ice cream social on Sunday and a free meal on the other nights. All are invited to join in the meals and stay for the singing and message.
Marriage workshop
"Marriage Matters," a one-day workshop on developing communication skills for a strong and loving Christian marriage, will be Saturday, Oct. 4.
The workshop is for both newlyweds and long-marrieds, and will focus on developing communication and conflict resolution skills that can make the difference between a difficult marriage and a loving partnership, according to a news release. The nondenominational workshop will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Black Hills Church in Piedmont. Lunch will be provided. Preregistration is required by Sept. 26.
