Marvin Johnson and Ron Housh Honor Flight 3

Marvin Johnson and Ron Housh (from left) locate a name on the Vietnam Wall in Washington, D.C. during Honor Flight 3 in 2013. The two men were guardians for World War II veterans on that trip. Honor Flight 4 will take Korean and Vietnam veterans from Dawes and Sheridan counties to D.C. in September. There will be a send-off for the group Sept. 4 at 9 a.m. at the American Legion in Chadron. The public is encouraged to attend and to line the streets downtown to show support as the group leaves.
