GARRETSON -- The Minnehaha County sheriff's department says a teenage boy has been arrested in a break-in and attempted rape in Garretson.
The sheriff's department says a woman reported early Thursday that a boy had broken into her home and assaulted her 15-year-old daughter. She chased the boy, and deputies followed his tracks in the mud and snow.
The boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted rape, aggravated assault and burglary. His name has not been released because he's a juvenile.
After his arrest, the sheriff's department says the boy was taken to a hospital for treatment of frostbite.
