Pauline Rawhouser

NEWCASTLE, Wyo. — Our beloved mother, grandmother and dear friend, Pauline Pedulla Rawhouser was born Jan. 28 1926, on the family ranch. She was the third child to Carmelo and Cynthia Phillips Pedulla. She peacefully went to her eternal reward on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at the Weston County Health Services.

She bravely battled her blindness and other diseases for several years with the same diligence that she led her life. Quit was not a word she ever knew or used. Her health issues never hindered her walk of life but, rather gave her a greater desire to live her life to the fullest measure.

Mother lived her whole life in Weston County. On April 5, 1950, she married Richard Rawhouser in Sundance. They ranched together at Four Corners and Osage for 53 years. Pauline’s greatest love was her children and grandchildren whom she adored. Not one to turn down a chance to hunt, her eye sight in later years made one of her greatest joys difficult but quit was not something she would do so she continued to ride along and look for the big one.

Those left to cherish her fond memories are her son, Frank; her daughter Shirley (Sam) Redding, Fort Smith, Mont.; her brothers Jim, Frank and Victor, all of Newcastle; her grandchildren, Skeeter of Hardin, and Seth (Stacee) of Fort Smith; her most sacred possession was her great-granddaughters, Justice and Sailee Pauline. Mom had so many caring and loving friends the paper is not long enough to mention them all. You know who you are and we appreciate all that you have done for her.

A memorial to celebrate her life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Newcastle Senior Center. A reception will follow at the center. Private burial will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Country Church at Four Corners.
