Ryan Zorn is coming home.

Zorn, an Army staff sergeant who grew up in Upton, Wyo., was killed Monday when a vehicle he was riding in overturned in Iraq. His body will be flown to Gillette, Wyo., on Sunday.

Funeral services have been set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at Wright Baptist Church in Wright, Wyo., where his parents, Myron and JoAnn Zorn live.

Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.

According to his online obituary at www.gillettememorialchapel.com, Zorn, 35, was born July 9, 1974, in Minot, N.D. When he was 5 months old, the family moved to Wyoming.

He was a 1993 graduate of Upton High School and joined the Army in January 1994. He served in Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Germany and three tours in Iraq.

Survivors include his parents, a brother, nephews and nieces, and Kay and Scott Johnston of Wright, who adopted Ryan as their military son.

A memorial will be established in Zorn’s name; contributions can be sent to Campco Federal Credit Union.
