Sherrif's department conducts 14 alcohol checks, all compliant

The Pennington County Sheriff's Office conducted 14 compliance checks Feb. 24 of establishments that sell alcohol, and none sold to the underage informants. The following establishments passed the compliance check, according to a news release by the sheriff's office: Hamilton's and Sally O'Malley's Pub of Rapid City; and 4-U, Belle Star Gentleman's Club, Cimarron Casino, Dave's Casino, Flying J Travel Plaza & Lounge, J&L Market, JT's Lounge, Kang San Restaurant, Loaf ‘N Jug, Palms Sports Bar, Pizza Hut, and The Jug Liquor Store in Box Elder.

Furnishing alcohol to a minor is a Class 2 misdemeanor punishable by 30 days in jail, a $500 fine or both.
