It took a Pennington County jury less than two hours Wednesday to find Matthew Davis not guilty of second-degree rape.

Davis, 23, was accused of raping a 34-year-old woman last December. The alleged victim did not report the incident until three days later.

A grand jury indicted Davis in May.

Davis’ attorney, Jamy Patterson, said Davis and the woman had consensual sex.
