St. Martin Monastery will have a quiet and reflective presentation of Christmas songs and the reading of the Christmas story at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, at the chapel. Soloist Sandi Ohlen and accompanist Kaia Murphy will present the program. A freewill offering will be taken for Working Against Violence Inc. and also for Lt. First United Methodist Church will hold Celtic Christmas, a celebration of Christ's birth featuring fiddles and flutes, reels and jigs, at its 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. services on Sunday, Dec. 23. Special guests include String Thaw, Ben Lemay and Keegan Kellogg.
Hot Springs United Churches will hold Christmas worship services at 8:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23.
Canyon Lake Church of God, 1829 Hillsview Drive, will hold its annual live Nativity from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23. The free family event features live animals, actors, choir singing and refreshments. Attendees may park and walk or drive through.
Christmas Eve
Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1020 State St. in Spearfish, will have four Christmas Eve candlelight services on Monday, Dec. 24. The services are at 1:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Holy Communion will be served at the 1:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. services.
St. John's Orthodox Church, 601 Flormann St., will celebrate the Feast of the Nativity with Divine Liturgy beginning at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24.
First Christian Church, 730 Quincy St., will offer two Christmas Eve candlelight services at 4:30 p.m. and at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24. Both services will include acoustical worship and special music presentations.
Hills View E Free in Piedmont Valley will hold a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24. The congregation meets at the Stagestop Reception Hall behind the Ramada at Exit 48 off Interstate 90. There will be carols, communion, candles and prayer.
Crossroads Wesleyan Church, 1823 Sheridan Lake Road, will hold a one-hour candlelight Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24. The public is invited.
Silver City Chapel will hold a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24. The Rev. Dick Fischer will lead a homespun, country celebration of Jesus' birth.
The Well will hold its first candlelight Christmas Eve celebration at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at the Christensen Hall of Fame in the King Center at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology.

Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 717 Quincy St., will hold a Christmas Eve Service at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24. There will be a carol sing at 10:30 p.m. and Festal Holy Eucharist at 11 p.m.
Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 910 Wood Ave., will hold Christmas Eve services with a children's program at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24.
Black Hawk Community Church, 5118 Mill Road (one block east of BJ's), will have a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24.
First Congregational Church of Christ, 1200 Clark St., will hold two services on Christmas Eve. The living Nativity and candlelight service will begin at 7 p.m. At 11:30 p.m., a candlelight communion service will be held, ending with the tolling of the bell at midnight. Countryside Community Church in Spearfish will have Christmas Eve services at 4 p.m. and at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, featuring the Christmas story told in multimedia.
Christmas Day
Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 717 Quincy St., will hold Christmas Day services at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25. In addition, there will be a children's Christmas program during services on Sunday, Dec. 30.
Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 717 Quincy St., will hold Christmas Day services at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25.
"Christmas at the Cathedral," a Christmas concert from St. Joseph Cathedral in Sioux Falls, will be distributed to NBC-TV owned and affiliated stations for broadcast on Christmas Day. Scheduling is at the discretion of the local station.
