No injuries were reported, but two people were briefly trapped in an office building when an SUV slammed into it Tuesday.
At about 8 a.m. Tuesday, a Toyota SR5 driven by Margaret Leither, 57, of Rapid City, entered a parking lot in the 1700 block of West Main Street.
According to the Rapid City Police Department, Leither was attempting to park when her SUV lost traction and struck the curb. Leither's foot accidentally hit the gas pedal, causing the vehicle to jump the curb and strike the building.
The Rapid City Fire Department was called to help extricate two people from the building.
Damage to the building is estimated at $20,000.
No charges are expected.
