Beatrice J. Boice

SPEARFISH — Beatrice J. Boice, 80, Spearfish, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Beatrice was born March 3, 1929, in Lead to Harry G. and Edna A. (Tyler) Baker.

In 1937, the family moved to Spearfish where she attended school and graduated from Spearfish High School in 1947.

Beatrice married Clifford C. Boice on May 11, 1947. Following their marriage they lived in various towns throughout the Northern Hills until 1974, when she moved to Spearfish where she has lived since. For many years Beatrice cared for children in her home.

She is survived by three sons, Philip A. (Diane) Boice, Sheridan, Wyo., Jeffrey C. Boice (Cherilyn) Bloomington, N.M., and Michael C. (Leesa), Knoxville, Tenn.; her daughter, Sue (Bill) Boykin, Bossier City, La.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her brother, Harold Baker, Rapid City; and her sister, Helen (Joneil) Olds, Centennial, Colo.

Her parents preceded her in death.

At her request cremation has taken place and there will be no services.

A memorial has been established to Lookout Memorial Hospital, Pediatric Ward.

Donovan Davidson

RAPID CITY — Donovan Davidson, 81, Rapid City, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at a local nursing home.

Survivors include four children, Mike Davidson and Susan Budd, Rapid City, Krista Cory, Lafayette, Ind., Kris Davidson, Bellevue, Neb.; a sister, Marjorie Fredrickson, New Ulm, Minn.; a brother, Eric Davidson, Canby, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements are pending with Kirk Funeral Home.

Bob Donner

UPTON, Wyo. — Bob Donner, 74, Upton, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at United Methodist Church in Upton.

Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapels & Crematory Service of Sundance is in charge of arrangements.

Diane Hrabe

CHAMBERLAIN — Diane Hrabe, 61, Chamberlain, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at Sanford Mid Dakota Medical Center in Chamberlain.

Survivors include her husband, Dyrk, Chamberlain; four sons, Dana, Las Vegas, Daren, Sioux Falls, Dusten, Chamberlain, and Dominic, Mesa, Ariz.; two grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Berg, Reliance; and three sisters, Melaine Berg and Melinda Glover, both of Gillette, Wyo., and Lori Berg, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. CST Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Hickey-Wevik Funeral Chapel.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Hickey-Wevik Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

David L. Pinkerton

BOZEMAN, Mont. — David L. Pinkerton, 72, Bozeman, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at his son’s home in Belle Fourche.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include four sons, Jess, Belle Fourche, Ernie, Gateway, Mont., Brian, San Francisco, and Allen, Idaho Falls, Idaho; two daughters, Linda and Lori, both of Battle Mountain, Nev..; and a brother, Luman Pinkerton, Sheridan, Wyo.

Funeral arrangements are pending with Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche.

Roebetta Beverly Roth

RAPID CITY — Roebetta Beverly Roth, 72, Rapid City, went home to the Lord, Saturday Nov. 14, 2009, at her home with her family around her. Roebetta was born April 18, 1937, in Lead S.D., to Ralph and Velma Smith. Her family moved to Rapid City in 1942, where she grew up and met Cole Roth. Cole and Roebetta were married on July 12, 1955, in Rapid City, where they made their home and raised their family. Roebetta devoted her life to her family as she spent her years nurturing, and mentoring her children and grandchildren. Roebetta enjoyed camping with her family and friends, working on her family history, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church.

Roebetta is survived by her husband Cole Roth of Rapid City, son Glen and Emmie Roth of Black Hawk, daughters Glenda Roth and Carla and Dave Hague both of Rapid City; four grandchildren, Jonathan and Kayla Roth, and Brad Roth of Black Hawk, Kori and Danielle Hague both of Rapid City; two great grandchildren, Jeremiah Roth and Haile Roth; a brother Elmer Smith, and sister Agnes Ehli, both of Rapid City.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Velma Smith, a brother Dale Smith, a daughter Coleen Roth, and a great-grandson, Wyatt Roth.

Visitation will be at Behrens Wilson Funeral Home, Tuesday Nov. 17, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Peace Lutheran Church in Rapid City with Pastor Lindenberg officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at the Black Hills National Cemetery, near Sturgis.

A Memorial has been set up at the Hospice of the Hills.
