Hill City quilter Joan Davis has been selected as a semifinalist for the 24th annual American Quilter's Society show and contest, April 23-26 in Paducah, Ky.
Davis will join 394 others in the annual contest, offering more than $130,000 in prize money. The quilt, "Spectacular," measures 72.75 inches wide and 73 inches long and represents hundreds of hours of work.
The quilt will be judged with others in its own category and will become part of the permanent collection in the Museum of the American Quilter's Society. For more information, go to www.americanquilter.com or call 270-898-7903.
