RAPID CITY - Tickets are on sale now for a number of upcoming holiday performances at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center:
n Black Hills Dance Theatre will present performances of "The Nutcracker 2007," at the civic center theater at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23; 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24; and 2 p.m .Sunday, Nov. 25. Ticket prices are $22.50 for adults and $12.50 for children 12 and under.
n Kenny Rogers will bring his "Christmas & Hits Show" to the civic center at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. Reserved seats are $51.50 and $64.50.
Rogers' hits include "Lady," "Ruby Don't Take Your Love to Town," "The Gambler" and "She Believes in Me." Opening the show will be special guest Linda Davis, known as "everybody's Nashville sweetheart."
n The Black Hills Symphony will present its "Christmas Traditions" concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, in the civic center theater. Featured will be Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite" and guest artists from the Suzuki School. Tickets range from $8 to $26.
n Tonic Sol-fa will present its holiday show at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4. Although they are simply four voices and a tambourine, they have been become one of the top five "must-see" groups in the nation, according to a news release. Tickets range from $19.75 to $29.75.
n Brule & AIRO (American Indian Rock Opera) will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in the civic center theater. Brule has become one of the top-selling Native American recording artists, with more than 1 million CDs sold worldwide. The group has a distinct sound of flute, piano, traditional drum and guitars. Tickets are $35 and $30.
n The family classic "A Christmas Carol" will show for two nights, at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, and Tuesday, Dec. 18, in the civic center theater as part of the Broadway Play Series. Tickets range from $35 to $45.
n Lorie Line and Her Pop Chamber Orchestra will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, in the civic center theater. The show promises to uncover more events and stories surrounding the traditional Christmas story, the birth of Christ. Tickets are $49.50 for the floor and $42.50 for the balcony.
