Thune to get award from National Guard Association of the U.S.

Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., will be presented with the Charles Dick Medal of Merit by the National Guard Association of the United States at Camp Rapid at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24.

The Charles Dick Medal recognizes public servants at the state and federal levels who demonstrate extraordinary support for the National Guard.

The medal is named in honor of Maj. Gen. Charles Dick, president of the association from 1902 to 1909.
