Two separate child abuse cases began winding their way through 7th Circuit Court on Monday.

Robert McCauley, 27, of Rapid City was arraigned in front of Judge Jeff Davis on one count of aggravated child abuse, a Class 3 felony. McCauley is accused of abusing a 3-year-old child. If convicted, he faces a maximum prison sentence of 15 years and a $30,000 fine. McCauley is free on a $5,000 bond.

Jamie Granados, 31, of Rapid City is accused of aggravated child abuse involving a 10-month-old child. Granados is being held in the Pennington County Jail. His bond was set at $5,000. Granados faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted of the Class 3 felony.
