A barn near Wanblee suffered heavy damage in a fire this morning. 

A cause has not been determined. The fire was reported shortly before 7 a.m. at a barn on Craven Road three miles west of Wanblee, according to a news release from Pennington County Fire Administration.

The fire was contained to the barn and destroyed shop tools, a tractor, baler, skid steer loader, feed wagon, pickup and other ranching assets.

Firefighters fought the blaze in extremely cold temperatures, with a wind chill of between zero and minus 5 degrees.
