A Rapid City man caught looking into parked cars about 1 a.m. Tuesday has been charged with car burglary.
A police officer spotted 20-year-old Ian Labeau peering through car windows in the area of 201 Curtis St. While the officer was talking with Labeau, he learned there was a warrant out for his arrest.
Labeau was also carrying the registration for a car that did not belong to him. When contacted, the car's owner pressed charges, according to police.
Labeau now faces charges for car burglary and minor consuming, in addition to the warrant charges for resisting arrest and obstructing police.
Car burglaries were also reported Monday on Idaho, Monroe and Racine streets and Sheridan Lake Road.
