Starting today, road crews will begin replacing existing pavement markings on Interstate 90 between Deadwood Avenue and Liberty Boulevard at Exits 55, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 63 and 67 in both the east and westbound lanes.
Minor traffic delays and lane closures can be expected, according to the state Department of Transportation. Lane closure hours are limited from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Work is scheduled to be completed by the end of September.
Motorists are reminded to be aware of suddenly slowing and merging traffic, as well as construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lane. The prime contractor on the $560,000 project is Tea-based Dakota Traffic Services.
