Rapid City police are investigating the weekend thefts of five bicycles valued at $19,000 from a local bicycle shop.

Black Hills Bicycles at 1401 West Omaha St. reported the thefts shortly after 9 a.m. Monday.

Someone managed to break into the building without leaving any signs of a forced entry, according to Rapid City police spokeswoman Tarah Heupel.

Sounds to me like someone forgot to lock the doors. Plus, can you really say "break into the building without leaving signs of a forced entry"? Forced entry = breaking in. No forced entry = building was not locked.
