Concrete repairs slated to begin next week on U.S. Highway 16B south of Rapid City will cause traffic delays.

Corr Construction of Hermosa will begin removing and replacing cracked highway panels on Wednesday, July 10. The project also includes the installation of a new expansion joint on the north end of the structure over S.D. Highway 44.

During the project traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions with a 16-foot width restriction.

Drivers can expect flaggers and a 45 mph speed limit in active work areas.

The project is scheduled for completion in late August.
