Authorities are searching for a 39-year-old prison inmate who failed to show up Tuesday for his work-release job in Rapid City.
Cleveland Roubideaux is serving two consecutive 5-year sentences for DWI 4th offense out of Pennington County. He is Native American, 5-feet-9, 210 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
A state Department of Corrections news release on the apparent walk-away said anyone who sees Roubideaux or knows where he is should contact law enforcement immediately.
The minimum-security units house an average of more than 1,000 inmates daily, with more than 700 of those inmates assigned to either work release or community service work, the DOC release said. Nearly 200 of those inmates are on work release, including 53 in Rapid City.
