A Pine Ridge woman accused of lying to federal authorities during a murder investigation is set to plead guilty to a drug offense under a deal with prosecutors.
Stevie Ray Makes Good, 24, is scheduled to plead guilty June 2 to distributing methamphetamine in Kyle in February. She faces up to 20 years in prison. Makes Good initially was charged with making a false statement after she allegedly told an FBI agent she did not witness the shooting death of Annie Colhoff, 34, on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in September.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office declined to comment on how Makes Good’s drug offense relates to her original charge and whether she remains a witness in Colhoff’s killing. Another woman charged with lying in the Colhoff investigation, Tyler Brewer of Pine Ridge, earlier pleaded guilty, admitting she and Makes Good saw a Colorado man fatally shoot Colhoff.
