Area hair stylists will hold a cut-a-thon from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at Nocturnal Tanning and Hair Studio, 106 Box Elder Road in Box Elder. The event will benefit the Siers family, who lost their home in a Nov. 25 fire.

Haircuts will be available for donations, with a $10 minimum. Massages by Norma Garcia also will be available for $1 per minute.

Purdy's Steak-N-Ale will provide appetizers, and Gizzi's Coffee will donate free coffee for all participants. During the event, the stylists will be collecting donations of household items, such as blankets.

The fire destroyed the mobile home of Brandy and Desmond Siers. Breanna Siers, 10, died of smoke inhalation. Desmond Siers, 5, suffered burns over 23 percent of his body in the fire. He is being treated at the burn unit of Denver Children's Hospital.
