RAPID CITY - A Pennington County 4-H team won the top Junior Family and Consumer Sciences Team award at the Western 4-H Family and Consumer Sciences Show, held Oct. 12 and 13 at the Central States Fairgrounds.

The team included Ciglan Wheeler, Rachel Speas and Emily Reeves.

Contestants at the 46th annual show came from three states and about 25 counties.

The show has expanded in the past few years so that there are contests available for pre-4-H members to adults.

Other winners included:

Rachel Speas won Top Junior Bread Baking, Top Junior Family Life Photo and Top Junior Home Living Floral.

Georgia Edoff won Top Junior Meat ID.

Megan Wattenhofer won Top Beginner Home Living Floral.

Ciglen Wheeler won Top Junior FCS Judging.

Jed Kammerer won Top Senior Vegetable Judging.

Amanda Reeves won Top FCS Jeopardy and Top Junior Constructed Fashion Revue.

Olivia Edoff was fifth-place Beginner Meat ID.

Pennington County had the Top Beginner FCS Judging Team, consisting of Abby Moon, Emma Rogers, July Kammerer and Olivia Edoff.

Top Beginner Vegetable Judging Team was Shelysa Theel, Monica Bielmaier and July Kammerer.

Top Junior Vegetable Judging Team members include Georgia Edoff, Amanda Reeves and Emily Reeves.
