The seventh "Matters of the Heart: A Health and Wellness Expo" will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, in the Surbeck Center Ballroom at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology.
South Dakota State University student nurses will provide free health screenings, and there will be health and wellness information from 30 community and campus organizations, including HIV testing, depression screening, smoking-cessation tips and workout plans.
The expo is designed to increase awareness and provide information to students about health issues and offer them free health screenings.
The Expo regularly features 30 to 50 groups that host booths, and officials expect between 200 and 350 people will attend the event.
