The public is invited to a meeting of the Strong Heart Civil Rights Movement from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at the Community Action Program office in Manderson.

The meeting will be a discussion of issues including meth abuse, teen suicide and law enforcement on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

Strong Heart members are developing a plan to protest against the tribal council there for what they see as abuse of elders and children of the Oglala Lakota people.

For more information, call Berniece White Hawk at 455-2590.
