The Career Service Council at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology has given its Traditions of Excellence Award for April 2008 to Vi Stoltz. Stoltz is a senior secretary in the office of provost and vice president for academic affairs and has been employed at School of Mines since June 1988.

Stoltz coordinates most of the activities for Engineers Week, including the Web site viewed by thousands of people, a pamphlet distributed to hundreds of interested people, the chemistry show, speaker and luncheons, in addition to her regular duties.
