Oglala Lakota College gets grant to replace buildings' tile

Oglala Lakota College has been selected to receive a $220,000 federal grant to replace tile in restrooms in the Piya Wiconi Administration/Student Services Building near Kyle and at nine instruction centers.

In addition, OLC plans to put composite siding on the Historical Center and Woksape Tipi at the Piya Wiconi campus.

The money is part of $4.7 million awarded to 22 tribal colleges in nine states through the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Tribal College Grant program.

Also in South Dakota, Sisseton Wahpeton College was selected for a $220,000 grant to purchase furnishings for its auditorium, according to a news release.
