The Douglas school board and the Douglas Education Association have reached agreement on a one-year contract for 2008-09. The new contract calls for an increase on the base salary from $27,589 to $28,103, with a movement of one step. Language revisions were made in the areas of medical examinations, early retirement, personal leave, evaluation, reduction in force and payroll distributions.
