Two Black Hills community organizations will receive federal funds to help create jobs.

The money is through the Agriculture Department's rural development programs that recently provided $22.1 million in 37 states and two territories.

Local recipients include:

* West River Foundation of Rapid City. The $750,000 in Intermediary Relending Program Loan funds is to help establish revolving loan funds for new businesses or expansion projects.

* Edgemont Area Chamber of Commerce. The $36,900 Rural Business Enterprise Grant is for technical assistance to save, expand and generate new businesses.
