Rapid City Police have released the name of a man arrested after a weekend stabbing.

Beto Rodriguez Jr., 18, Rapid City, is in jail after his arrest for aggravated and simple assault, minor consuming and domestic violence, a charge connected with an assault on Rodriguez's 41-year-old mother.

According to a news release from police, officers responded to a stabbing at Madison and LaCrosse streets late Sunday afternoon. They found a 21-year-old man with stab wounds to his back and a 17-year-old boy who had been assaulted but not stabbed. Police said the stabbing victim was taken to Rapid City Regional Hospital and treated for nonlife-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
