HUD provides $330,307 to emergency shelters

Twenty emergency and domestic violence shelters across South Dakota will share $330,307 in grant funding.

Shelters include operations in Custer, Lemmon, Mobridge, Pierre, Rapid City, Spearfish, and Sturgis. Grants ranged from $6,000 to $30,000 over 18 months.

The funds, distributed by the South Dakota Housing Development Authority, come from the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development.
