Anyone who wants to donate to help care for buffalo displaced by the Stampede Fire can do so at First National Bank.

The Stampede Fire Fund (#138150) was established after the fire on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation burned 17,000 acres of pastureland near Slim Buttes last weekend. The pasture was home to about 300 buffalo belonging to the Oglala Sioux Tribe.

The animals are now being moved to another pasture. Donations will help cover the cost of hay for the buffalo and fencing materials to prepare additional pastures.
