The Wal-Mart State Giving Program presented a check for $17,000 to The Rapid City Club for Boys for their older boys program.

The grant will fund a significant portion of direct programming that is provided to boys ages 12 through 17 at the club this year, club officials said.

The club's older boys program addresses the specific needs of boys ages 12 through 17 as they go through transitional times personally and in school. The program emphasizes adult supervision, mentoring and guidance along with activities that engage middle- and high-school-age boys.
