Pennington County will celebrate National 4-H Week with an open house at Rapid City Public Library. The week of Oct. 4-10 offers an opportunity for people to discover the diversity of the program.
Local 4-H leaders will provide information at 2 p.m. Oct. 3 and 4 at the library. They also will answer questions about joining local Pennington County clubs involving nearly 300 members and 50 volunteers. 4-H programs are offered through school-based, after-school and camp settings and within community clubs.
To volunteer or join a Pennington County 4-H Club, call Tana Clark, 4-H/YD Educator at South Dakota State University Cooperative Extension, Pennington County at 394-2188 or e-mail: tana.clark@sdstate.edu.
