The Black Hills Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) will celebrate Make A Difference Day on Oct. 24 by packing personal care packages for deployed National Guard soldiers.

Black Hills communities have assisted RSVP in collecting about $9,500 in personal items for 370 members of the South Dakota National Guard currently deployed overseas.

Volunteers are needed to help sort and package the items for shipment. A workday is tentatively planned for either Oct. 21 or 22. Financial contributions are also needed for shipping costs.

To make a donation or help with packaging, call RSVP at 394-2507
