Saturday, July 26, will be the 4th annual observance of the National Day of the American Cowboy.
The late Sen. Craig Thomas of Wyoming sponsored the initial legislation in 2005.
"Celebrating … National Day of the American Cowboy is a humble way for us to say thanks and acknowledge the contributions cowboys made throughout history and the continued impact they have on our nation today," Sen. Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., said.
